Terms for Sparebørsen Student

28 October 2026

1. What the scheme gives you

Sparebørsen Student gives you a higher share of the commission Sparebørsen receives from a store back as cashback. Normally 70% of that commission goes to you. As a confirmed student you get 100% for the rest of 2026, and 85% from 1 January 2027.

The scheme only changes the share of the commission that goes to you, not how cashback is otherwise calculated, confirmed or processed.

2. Who qualifies

You qualify if you can confirm you are a student, in one of two ways: with a student email at a Norwegian institution (addresses starting with "stud." or "student." and ending in .no, e.g. ola@stud.uio.no), or by uploading a student ID for manual review.

Sparebørsen may reject an application where the documentation cannot be trusted, or where the email address does not belong to a Norwegian institution.

3. Calculation when several rates apply at once

The student rate is not combined with other campaign rates (such as the Christmas campaign's 95%). When several rates are active at the same time, the highest of them applies to that purchase, never the sum of them.

A programme with 0% cashback to begin with still gives 0% cashback as a student. Student status increases the share of an existing commission; it does not create cashback where there is no commission to share.

4. Payout is unchanged

Student status does not change how earned cashback is confirmed or paid out. Sparebørsen's general terms for payout apply in full, including the requirements for verified identity, a registered account number and at least one approved purchase before a payout can be requested. See the general terms for the full requirements.

5. Validity and renewal: 12 months

Confirmed student status lasts 12 months from the approval date. You get a reminder by email 14 days before it expires. After expiry the rate automatically falls back to the normal rate, and you can reapply at any time, the same way as the first time.

6. Handling of student IDs

A student ID you upload is reviewed manually by Sparebørsen. The file is deleted as soon as the application has been decided, approved or rejected, and is never kept longer than it takes to review. Review takes a maximum of 90 days; applications not decided within that time are cleared automatically and must be resubmitted.

Approved files and metadata are not kept beyond the decision itself. We only keep the result (approved/rejected, date, method), not the document itself, after the case is decided.

7. Misuse

Sparebørsen can revoke student status with immediate effect in case of misuse, including false or forged documentation, use of a student email that is not yours, or repeated applications with incorrect information.

A revoked status means the normal rate applies again from that point. Cashback from purchases already made and approved at the student rate is unaffected by a later revocation.

8. Changes

Sparebørsen may change the rates in this scheme (for example the move from 100% to 85% on 1 January 2027) with advance notice on this page. The rest of Sparebørsen's terms apply in addition to these.
