What is cashback, and why do you get money back?

Cashback simply means money back on shopping you were going to do anyway. Not a point you might be able to use one day: real kroner back into your account.

Sparebørsen: you shop, we bring the money back

Cashback is money back, not points

When you shop at an online store via Sparebørsen, you get a share of the purchase amount back as money. Spend 1 000 kroner at a store with five per cent cashback, and you get fifty kroner back.

You shop at the normal price, in the store's own web shop, exactly as before. The difference is that you went via Sparebørsen on the way in.

Where does the money come from?

Stores pay a commission to win new customers. We receive that commission when you shop, and we share most of it back with you. That is the whole business model, and we are open about it.

That is why it costs you nothing. The money comes from the store's marketing budget, not from your wallet.

What do you have to do?

Create a free account, find the store with us, and click through. Shop as usual. The cashback is registered automatically and appears in your account once the purchase is confirmed.

Frequently asked questions

Does cashback cost anything?

No. Sparebørsen is free to use. We earn from the commission the store pays, and we share it back with you.

Do I get a worse price because I use cashback?

No. You pay exactly the same price as every other customer in the store. The cashback comes on top.

When do I get the money?

The cashback is registered shortly after the purchase and is paid out once the store has confirmed the sale. You can follow the status under My account.
