Avignon Polar Boot -40 Size 37 (Size: 37)

Om Avignon Polar Boot -40 Size 37 (Size: 37)

The Polar boot is meticulously engineered to offer unparalleled functionality and comfort, even under extremely cold conditions, with a Comfort Rating down to -40°C. This boot masterfully combines the impermeability of a rubber boot with the superior heat insulation of neoprene, ensuring warmth and dryness in harsh weather. Crafted with a blend of Hercules® natural rubber and SCR neoprene, the Polar boot features a flexible leg that enhances comfort and ease of use, avoiding the rigidity that can make a boot difficult to wear for extended periods. The natural rubber component is specially formulated to remain pliable in cold climates, ensuring the boot maintains its flexibility even at low temperatures. The interior boasts an 8.5 mm thick neoprene lining, complemented by an orange fleece layer for added insulation against the cold. This SCR-classified lining is a mix of neoprene and synthetic SBR polymer, offering elasticity in cold conditions and a high capacity for insulation. The closed-cell foam structure of these materials prevents moisture penetration, contributing to the boot's insulation properties and reducing its weight. Designed with an anatomical foot part akin to that of a hiking boot, the Polar stabilizes the foot and aids in achieving a more secure footing, particularly on uneven terrain. The combination of heel coating and midfoot support further enhances stability and control. Additionally, the front foot is equipped with a roller sole, common in jogging shoes and hiking boots, which aids in smoothing the walking process. The insole, constructed from 5 mm thick EVA and topped with polyester, acts similarly to a sleeping pad by blocking cold from the ground. It is also perforated to allow moisture from the foot to escape, enhancing comfort. The boot's design features a slanted leg with a lower rear part to ease walking and reduce pressure on the leg, a characteristic appreciated in hiking boots and integrated into the Polar for added comfort. A "kick-off" at the back of the sole makes removing the boot effortless. Available in sizes 37-48, the Polar boot is equally suited for both men and women, offering a versatile solution to staying warm and comfortable in the coldest of environments. The Comfort Rating indicates that the boot's ability to protect against the cold can vary based on external factors like wind, humidity, the wearer's activity level, and the duration of exposure to cold conditions.
