Avignon Ridge High -60 (Size: 38)

Om Avignon Ridge High -60 (Size: 38)

The Winter Boot Ridge is engineered for unparalleled performance in extreme winter conditions, providing essential warmth, comfort, and functionality. With a Comfort Rating down to -60°C, it's designed to withstand even the most severe cold, ensuring your feet stay warm and protected. Constructed from Neoprene, known for its excellent heat-insulation properties, the Ridge boot keeps the warmth securely around the foot. The boot's neoprene lining is SCR-classified, blending neoprene with a synthetic polymer SBR for enhanced elasticity and insulation, even at very low temperatures. This combination results in a boot that's both lightweight and highly insulated, as the closed-cell foam material prevents moisture penetration. The boot features a 12.5 mm thick neoprene sock for exceptional thermal insulation, complemented by an airy 3D lining that promotes air circulation around the foot. This innovative lining, made from three-dimensionally woven nylon thread, enables superior air movement within the boot, creating a unique warming effect that retains heat effectively, even in stationary use during winter. For added comfort underfoot, the Ridge boot includes a shock-absorbing insole made of Memory Foam, which adapts to the contours of the foot and provides extra support during heavy loads. The memory foam's open-air cells enhance underfoot circulation, contributing to a warmer foot environment. Additionally, an airy wool layer atop the foot further amplifies the boot's warming capabilities. The boot's midsole features a unique heat-insulating function, with a cast-in EVA layer that cushions the step and insulates against ground cold—a common cause of foot cooling in winter. This design feature ensures effective thermal protection from the cold ground. Ridge's durable outsole, with a rough-patterned grip, offers reliable traction on winter terrain, including snow, ice, and slippery surfaces. The thermal insulating properties of the outsole, combined with the integrated intermediate layer, provide additional protection against the cold. The boot includes an extra strong forefoot roller, similar to those found in hiking boots, to facilitate easier walking and step unfolding, despite its insulated construction. Completely waterproof, the Ridge boot is crafted from soft, flexible Heracles® natural rubber, ensuring it remains pliable in cold temperatures and enhances ease of use. With reinforcement zones around the ankle, forefoot, and heel for increased stability on uneven surfaces, and a slanted boot shaft to reduce calf pressure, the Ridge winter boot is thoughtfully designed for maximum functionality and comfort in harsh winter climates. This boot represents the pinnacle of winter footwear technology, offering unmatched protection and warmth for those who face the elements head-on.
